Rules
1. Here at Goodbye To Sanity, we give you complete freedom in creating your character which enables to be as creative as possible. There are no limits in certain areas so don't be shy to create your character the way you want it. Of course, the more members gain through time, we'll add canons for those who may be not want to create a character from scratch.
2. Like many sites, we require you to do the app so we get an idea of your role. However, unlike most of those sites, we will not deny you. This is because we feel it is unfair to just deny someone publicly and this is really a place for fun, right? We do have a pending section however, and that's mostly if we feel you need to add a little more or if we just think there are a few things you need to tweak.
3. We have no time limit on how long you take to do an APP. As previously stated, this is place of fun and we want you to take your time. We all have a life outside of RP and not many of us can be on here as much. So don't feel any pressure regarding time limit because there is none.
4. Of course, however, when it comes to activity, we expect at least two RP posts in the span of two weeks otherwise we will just be under the assumption you are too busy in real life or just don't have an interest in the site. Don't worry, we won't delete you in order for you to create your history again and all that. We will just reset everything, but your profile would remain.
5. Of course, staff members on this site want to make sure that this site runs as smooth as possible and that means making sure that we are made aware of major plots that are happening. Major plots meaning, any character deaths or of that sort. Anything else, you have free range!
6. Please do not change your profile to match your characters UNTIL you are accepted! Once you are, feel free. Your FC will be added to the FC list and you will be tagged in the Who's who thread. Make sure to also create a thread and plotter! Trackers are not mandatory but they sure do help keep track of the RPs you have going!
7. We are a no word count site, which means you are free to post as many words as you want. As we may prefer quality over quantity, please make sure you are not giving one 200 words reply if they are giving you 1000 words reply.
8. You are free to make as many characters as you wish but please do make sure you are not abusing the system if you cannot keep up with all of them. We want to make sure our members have a FUN experience and not get overwhelmed with replies they may not be able to keep up with.
9. Since this is in a alternate supernatural universe, character deaths are allowed, though if supernatural, they will become a dedemitan and should they be human, the would require a body swap (see Dedemitan, Species Information). Please note that this cannot be overdone. Not all humans can simply be killed off just to bring them into another body and not all supernaturals can simply become dedemitans. A realistic amount is sufficient.
10. Please do RP your character accordingly. If a human is faced with a vampire, they will be filled with fear. Sure they may have courage, but at the end of the day, however, they will have fear and that may cloud their judgement.
11. We do not condone bullying at all. Any members caught doing any kind of bullying will automatically be banned from this site. Also, keep the drama out of the CBOX. If you have any problems, come to the staff members so we can attempt to resolve the issues at hand.
12. I think a rule we are all familiar with is; DO NOT MIX RL DRAMA WITH RP.
13. Do not go all God Mode. Everyone gets hurt and nobody is able to avoid every single punch or blow in the world.
14. Same goes for God Modding. Unless you have the consent of someone else.
15. If your RP starts getting a bit more... saucy, make sure to do a fade to the black at the appropriate time. Some of our members may be young.
16. Do not disrespect the staff or their decisions. A simple rule that I am sure we can all follow without any problems.
17. The main rule... HAVE FUN!
